One Lincoln Plaza - PFHX & Pumping Stations
Highlights: Condenser water system upgrade with new PFHX and pumping stations, delivered through strategic phasing and coordinated mission-critical shutdowns.

NZ Mechanical upgraded critical condenser water infrastructure supporting a mixed-use high-rise with commercial tenants requiring 24/7 cooling. The project included installation of new 12” piping for (2) plate-and-frame heat exchangers (PFHX) and associated pumping stations. During a scheduled condenser water shutdown with a full riser drain-down, we installed (3) 18” high-pressure butterfly valves on the primary loop to isolate the mechanical room and equipment, and created (2) new 12” points of connection to feed the upgraded system.
The new PFHX and pumping stations were brought online smoothly to support increased cooling demands for the building.
